David is an experienced technology leader with a track record of managing diverse global teams that consistently outgrow the market. These include Cloud, SaaS, IoT, AI & ML across every segment and in multiple industries including Telco, Automotive and Financial Services leveraging both direct and indirect routes to market.
David has a proven ability to assess, adapt, navigate and successfully lead through complex and often ambiguous go-to-market challenges. Most recently David served as Senior Vice President, Dell Technologies Select (DT Select), a unique business segment formed in 2017 after Dell acquired EMC. David was selected to lead the go-to-market team that was asked to reimagine the customer engagement model for the largest and most complex strategic global customers. Ultimately this resulted in an innovative approach that shifted the sales focus from technology led product transactions to business outcome-based engagements.
In his role David was responsible for the creation, strategy and operational execution of the go-to-market organization which included building a new team through recruiting key talent, establishing performance metrics, stake holder management and building a winning brand and high energy team culture. The focus of the organization was on acquiring new customers for high growth software assets from VMware and Pivotal to drive business outcomes and gain strategic relevance. This required creative approaches such as incubating new vertically-led selling motions (i.e. Connected Mobility) with collaboration across a broad ecosystem of ISV partners.
Prior to joining Dell Technologies David held various leadership positions at Hewlett Packard (HP) including Vice President Managing Director HP Israel. Israel was a strategic country for HP with ~7000 employees grown through M&A (software/printing). The organization was challenged in many ways and David’s mandate was to reestablish HP’s value and culture, reposition the HP brand in the market place both internally and externally, ignite the innovation engines and bring back the country to growth. David successfully created and delivered the “change” program and executed on HP’s strategy to split the organization into HP Ink and HP Enterprise. David represented HP Ventures in Israel and was active in the Venture Capital and start up ecosystem.
Throughout David’s career a foundational focus has been his ability to map and graph an organizational DNA and understand its culture and how that feeds into the needs and strategy of the CxO. Understanding the balance between company strategy, mapping the culture and the need to execute is key to his success.
David managed to merge his passion for entrepreneurship, business strategy with his experience of working in Israel by joining the Board of UK Israel Business whose mission is to promote bilateral trade between two countries.
The other area of focus for David is diversity and inclusion and through his role as a trustee of Yad Vashem (World Holocaust Remembrance & Education Centre) promoting tolerance, respect and acceptance for all.
