Our Health Tech Forum returns on 28 February. Our speakers are Prof. Ran Balicer who is Head of Innovation Division, Clalit Health Services, and Founding Director of the Clalit Research Institute and Zebra Medical Vision.
Prof. Ran Balicer will provide an overview of the Israeli healthcare system, the role of Clalit’s HMO, and how it innovates and collaborates with innovators to address its current and future challenges
Zebra Medical Vision will discuss ‘how AI reduces NHS costs’ using a case study of their pilot in Oxford.
He also serves as Founding Director of the Clalit Research Institute, the WHO Collaborating Center on Non-Communicable Diseases Research, Prevention and Control. In these roles, he is responsible for strategic planning of data and technology driven novel organization-wide interventions for improving healthcare quality, reducing disparities and increasing care effectiveness.
Zebra Medical Vision was named a cool vendor in “Cool Vendors in AI for Healthcare, 2017” by the Gartner Research Group and has raised over $50m in funding.

Over 18 years’ of experience in senior leadership roles in global sales, marketing, business development and general management within the healthcare industry spanning pharma, biotech, medical device, digital health and telemedicine markets.
Elad is currently the CEO of Connected HealthTech Solutions (CHS), the UK subsidiary of Femi Health, Israel’s largest independent healthcare provider and operators of one of the world’s leading telemedicine platforms serving HMOs and the Israeli MoH.
Prior to CHS, Elad was the Global Chief Marketing Officer and subsequently the President of AposTherapy UK, a novel MedTech platform in orthopaedics and MSK where he led the successful introduction and adoption of the product by the NHS and private markets. Previously Elad was the Marketing and BD Director at Se-Cure Pharmaceuticals, an Israeli-based innovative biotechnology company in Women’s Health & Osteoporosis. Prior to that, Elad led the European healthcare practice of Harris Interactive Inc., a major global marketing research firm advising various leading medical device and pharmaceutical companies.
Elad holds an Executive MBA in Marketing and Management from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and a bachelor’s degree in Business and International Marketing from the Institute Superior de Gestion in Paris, France.
