Innovate Israel returns to London on 12 September in partnership with The Institution of Engineering and Technology.

As part of the TLVinLDN festival, Innovate Israel will highlight the most exciting innovations coming from scale-up nation.

Innovate Israel is designed to be industry agnostic and will expose you to the latest disruptive thinking, enabling you to better position your business in a world of change.

Jonathan Medved is a serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist. Medved currently is the founder and CEO of OurCrowd, an equity-crowdfunding platform for accredited investors and angels focused on investing in Israeli and global startups www.ourcrowd.com.

Medved was the co-founder and CEO of Vringo between 2006-2012, a leader in the mobile social and video applications area. Vringo trades on the NASDAQ under the symbol of VRNG.

Prior to founding Vringo, Medved founded Israel Seed Partners in 1995 in his garage and co-managed the fund until January 2006. Israel Seed had $262M under management in four funds and has been an investor in 60 leading Israeli companies. Exits include: Shopping.com (acquired by Ebay), Compugen (Nasdaq: CGEN), Answers.com (acquired by Summit)), Tradeum (acquired by VerticalNet),Broadlight (acquired by Broadcom), Mobile Access (acquired by Corning), Cyota (acquired by RSA), Native Networks (acquired by Alcatel), Xacct (acquired by Amdocs), Business Layers (acquired by CA), Xtellus (acquired by Oclaro), Digital Fuel (acquired by VMWare).

Prior to Israel Seed, Medved built several technology startups. Medved was a founder and Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales at MERET Optical Communications, Inc. (Santa Monica, CA) between 1982-1991. MERET was an early pioneer in fiber optic communication systems for video transmission which was acquired by the Amoco Corporation (NYSE:BP) in 1990. Medved then was part of the founding management team at Accent Software (Nasdaq:ACNTF) where he served as Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales between 1992-1994.

Fiona Darmon

Fiona is an integral part of the leadership team at JVP, overseeing the firms ongoing operations including defining the groups’ strategy as well as leading the raising of numerous funds that have allowed JVP to continue building world class technology companies. Fiona has over fifteen years of experience in venture capital, strategic planning, capital raising and investments in public and private companies, having previously held a variety of executive roles with leading Israeli investment conglomerate, Koor Industries, as well as serving as a founding member of the first Israeli corporate VC – Koor CVC. Fiona started her career as a financial analyst with Claridge Israel LLC, the investment arm of the Bronfman family of Canada. Fiona was an Officer in one of the renowned units of the Israeli IDF, and holds a BA in Finance and IT and an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management’s international program in collaboration with Tel Aviv University.

Karin Mayer Rubinstein

As of 2011, Karin has been serving as CEO of IATI (Israel Advanced Technology Industries). IATI is Israel’s umbrella organization of the high-tech, life science and other advanced technology industries, with hundreds of paying members from every level and aspect of the ecosystem.

Since 2008 Karin served at HFN Law Office, Israel’s largest law firm, as the Managing Director of the BizDev Division. Prior to this, for 9 years she served as Startup Division Manager & BizDev Managing Director at Efrati Galili & Co.
Karin is a member of steering committees and a keynote speaker of many leading global events and conferences around the world and in the United Nations. She lectures on entrepreneurship at the MBA Program at the Coller School of Management, Tel Aviv University.
Karin was nominated twice for the Forbes Top 100 Influential Young Business Persons, and TheMarker’s Top 40 Leading Young Business Persons.
She is a Member of Board of Governance of Tel Aviv University, Director in Israel-America Chamber of Commerce, Council for the Advancement of Women in Science and Tech, and a Member of the Advisory Board of She Codes.

Zohar Rozenberg

Zohar Rozenberg (Col. Ret.) is the Vice President of Cyber Investments at Elron, a leading Israeli holding company dedicated to building technology companies, actively investing in startup companies. He is also acting as Member of the Board for a number of cyber companies and as a member at R.D.C., the commercialization arm of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, in a full partnership with Elron Electronic Industries (TASE: ELRN). Zohar served in 8200 for over 20 years leading high-risk, high-innovation organizations and projects, with a track record in cultivating new technological initiatives as well as brilliant and skilled personal. Zohar was involved in the establishment of the National cyber bureau and the formalization of the Israeli national cyber strategy. He retired after serving as the Head of I.D.F’s Cyber Department. Amongst other achievements, Zohar was responsible for developing nationwide cyber educational programs and working with the Israeli office of education and philanthropy organizations to help place Israel as a global leader in cyber technology.

Zohar holds a B.S. in Electric and Electrical Engineering and an M.B.A. from Tel Aviv University. Zohar also holds the 2008 Israeli highest defense award

Matteo de Renzi

Matteo de Renzi is CEO in Western Europe for the on demand app Gett; he specialises in growth management and business turnaround with specific expertise in service operations and manufacturing. Matteo started his career in Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs in London in 2003; two years later he joined Pirelli, where he worked for 10 years in a range of roles around the world.

Between 2011 and 2015,Matteo led the launch of operations and full turnaround of industrial assets for Pirelli in Russia. In 2015 he joined McKinsey, where he covered the role of Implementation Lead for Advanced Industries in Western Europe. In June 2016 Matteo joined Gett as COO for Western Europe and was promoted to CEO in October 2016.

Matteo holds a Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering from The Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa in his native Italy, and currently lives in London with his wife and two daughters. He is a keen sailor and accomplished piano player.

His former roles include Senior Strategic Advisor to the Minister of tourism of Israel for digital and OOH Marketing, CEO at Bring-it.co.il & CMO at IU30.com. Ofri made the natural move to mobile personalization technology in co-finding Pixoneye almost 3 years ago and is currently residing in London with his wife and dog, where he manages the company’s Commercial office and is planning to change the face of mobile as we know it, one device at a time.

With two decades of experience leading high-growth startups, Tomer Tzach currently serves as CEO of Ag analytics innovator CropX and is focused on establishing a global Internet of Soil. A seasoned executive, Tomer has grown two other technology startups into companies with multi-million dollar revenues. Prior to CropX, he cofounded and led ecommerce platform Clixie and spun out Zoara (now part of the Dalumi Group). He also served as CEO of ViewScore, which was acquired by MyThings. A former software technical leader at Intel and partner at Eurofund Venture Capital focused on software, communication and Internet technologies, Tomer has an extensive technology background. Before earning an M.B.A. from the University of Haifa (summa cum laude) and a B.A. in computer science from the Technion, Tomer dedicated seven years to the Israeli Air Force as a pilot.
