Join us in celebrating ‘UK Israel Business’ (UKIB) 70th anniversary with an intimate conversation with Lord Browne and Ami Daniel, founder and CEO of Windward as they absorb you in a fireside chat about their observations on the economy and business world.
Lord Browne is best known for his role as chief executive of energy company BP between 1995 and 2007. This period has been described as the company’s “golden period of expansion and diversification”. Browne is the kind of person who never accepts that something can’t be done and who is always asking if there is a better way or if someone might have a better idea. Under his leadership, BP became the same kind of company.
Ami, on the other hand, has been building organisations since the young age of 16, all based around helping others. His first was a community centre in Haifa that aimed to promote coexistence. Then came an NGO to inspire troubled teens. Afterward, he served as a naval officer, but after his ship was hit by a missile, he decided to go ahead and set up Windward.
Windward is an intelligence company that empowers actionable decisions in maritime safety, security, compliance, and supply chain across the ecosystem, combining best-in-class data science and a deep understanding of what happens at sea.
