UK investment firm Oxx enters partnership with Jerusalem’s OurCrowd
Pooling resources will help both parties ‘uncover the best companies in which to invest’
UK-based investment firm Oxx has entered into a strategic partnership with crowdfunding venture capital firm OurCrowd that will enable the UK firm to invest in the portfolio companies of the Jerusalem-based fund as they move to growth stage.
The strategic partnership will provide Oxx’s investors and portfolio companies access to OurCrowd’s investor network in 110 countries around the world, increase Oxx’s due diligence capabilities by pooling resources, and also provide both firms with expanded research capabilities, Oxx, which focuses on business-to business software growth-stage startups in the UK, Scandinavia and Israel, said in a statement. Typically the fund invests sums in the range of $5 million to $20 million.
Bringing together the “investment teams from tech hotspots such as London, Stockholm and Israel is a great recipe for turning startups into scaleups,” said Jon Medved, the CEO of OurCrowd, in the statement.
“Enabling our fund to access OurCrowd’s large pool of technology experts and investors will be a huge benefit to our fund and portfolio,” said Richard Anton, Oxx general partner. The combined strengths of the two teams will produce data that will help “uncover the best companies in which to invest.”
